INTRODUCTORY ROCK
Introductory rock climbing instruction offers beginners a solid foundation of climbing skills. It covers the use of equipment, rope handling, knot tying, communication, belaying, rappelling, and climbing technique. We begin climbing on the first day, carefully choosing climbs that allow each student to feel secure while being challenged. We recommend an introductory course for anyone who has had no previous technical climbing experience or for those who feel they need a "fresh start". Two or more days (they need not be consecutive) will help you retain the considerable amount of information that is offered. However, a single day of instruction is appropriate if you simply want to have a great time while getting a taste of what climbing is all about. Our basic instruction makes the joy of climbing accessible to everyone by addressing each student's needs. All necessary technical equipment will be provided.

INTERMEDIATE ROCK
Intermediate rock instruction is suitable for students who have taken our introductory rock course, or who have otherwise developed a solid foundation of basic climbing techniques. It further develops each students understanding of all aspects of climbing in preparation for advanced courses and perhaps, independence. We refresh your skills, teach new techniques, and help increase your confidence and proficiency on rock. On multi-pitch climbs, we refine your technique on friction slabs, delicate face climbs, finger cracks, hand jams and chimneys. We also cover protection, belay anchors and route finding on climbs of increasing levels of difficulty. We suggest reserving two or three days of lessons. However, you will find a single day of instruction to be of great value.
