Finding adventure in Huntington Ravine, Mt Washington NH

GUIDED CLIMBS
Guided climbs, winter or summer, are routes requested by the client and is an exciting option for more experienced rock or ice climbers. If you are not familiar with the area, we will help you select climbs that suit your interest and ability. Guide fee varies, please contact us for further information.

SELF RESCUE
Self
rescue skills are used to aid climbers who are in trouble. They use the gear that you are likely to have on a typical climb. These techniques apply to a wide range of situations from the most simple (for example, rappelling with a frightened partner) to the most complex (rescuing an unconscious victim). Many of these skills should be fundamental to every climber’s repertoire.

DIRECT AID AND BIG WALL CLIMBING
Knowledge of direct aid is useful for rock climbers and mountaineers who want to climb the unclimbable or get themselves out of a difficult situation. An intensive two to four day course in artificial climbing covers basic big wall techniques. One day of instruction can teach an experienced climber how to get out of a pinch. Previous rock climbing experience is required. Please call or write for details.

CREVASSE RESCUE
Crevasse rescue skills are necessary for anyone who is planning a trip to a glaciated peak. In this course you will learn the principles and procedures for safe glacial travel and crevasse rescue techniques. These include the use of anchors, ascending systems, and hauling systems.

LEARNING TO LEAD
To many climbers, leading is one of the most satisfying activities in all of climbing. As a leader, you're not just following, you've taken on the challenge and responsibility of determining the direction and outcome of the climb. Ask us about our program that will give you the skills and confidence needed to make this daunting transition on either rock or ice. Previous climbing experience is required. Please call or write for details.
